Flu Bulletin #11

Manitoba Health advises that Manitoba today received authorization from Health Canada and recommendations from the Public Health Agency of Canada to use the Canadian-made H1N1 vaccine without adjuvant. Earlier this week, the province received 39,900 doses of this vaccine and has distributed it to regional health authorities.

This vaccine without adjuvant is currently recommended for people aged 10 to 64 who do not have a weakened immune system, as well as pregnant women.

Earlier this week, Manitoba opened flu shot clinics to include children over five and under 18 years of age, along with the first priority group.

For updated information about clinics in your area, contact your regional health authority.
