Manitoba Health is reporting the death of an adult between the age of 18 and 65 who was confirmed to have H1N1 influenza and other underlying medical conditions. This is the first death associated with lab-confirmed H1N1 in the second wave of the virus. There were seven deaths in the first wave associated with lab-confirmed H1N1.
Future updates on severe illness, deaths and other information related to H1N1 will be provided as part of routine updates and on the H1N1 website.
