Manitoba's Chief of Protocol Honoured by Queen Elizabeth

– – –
First Manitoban Ever Invested as CVO

Queen Elizabeth II invested Dwight MacAulay, chief of protocol for the Government of Manitoba, as Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO).

“I would like to congratulate Dwight MacAulay on this very exceptional honour given by the Queen during her recent visit to Manitoba,” said Premier Greg Selinger.  “This is history in the making and a great honour for Manitoba since MacAulay is the first Manitoban to ever be invested as CVO.”

The Royal Victorian Order has the classifications of Commander (CVO), Lieutenant (LVO), Member (MVO) and Medal (RVM).  A person is admitted to the Royal Victorian Order by “rendering extraordinary, important or personal service to the sovereign.”

MacAulay is the only Manitoban to receive both the LVO (2002) and the CVO honours.
