Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall to Visit Winnipeg in May
PremierGreg Selinger today welcomed news that the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will visit Winnipeg on May 20 and 21.
“It will be my honour, on behalf of all Manitobans, to welcome the Prince of Wales back to our province and, for the first time, to welcome the Duchess of Cornwall,” said Premier Selinger. “Our relationship with the Royal Family is a long and proud one. We are delighted that Their Royal Highnesses have decided to include our province in their next visit to Canada and we look forward to showcasing some of the best things Manitoba has to offer.”
Prince Charles last visited Manitoba in 1996 and this is the Duchess of Cornwall’s first visit to the province. They will also visit Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island as part of their upcoming Canadian tour.
