Province Requests RCMP Review of City Audits
Manitoba Justice has referred the City of Winnipeg’s Real Estate Management Review, the Winnipeg Police Service Headquarters Construction Project Audit and the Confidential Report to Winnipeg City Council re: New Fire Paramedic Stations Construction Project and other related materials to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for review and to conduct any investigations it considers appropriate.
On July 18, 2014, the City of Winnipeg wrote two letters to Manitoba Justice requesting it conduct reviews into matters related to the Real Estate Management Review and the Winnipeg Police Service Headquarters Construction Project Audit.
Manitoba Justice has reviewed the letters and accompanying material forwarded by the City of Winnipeg, as well as additional material received related to these matters.
