MOTORISTS ADVISED OF TRAFFIC DISRUPTIONS WHILE REPAIRS ARE MADE TO SYMINGTON OVERPASS, ON EAST SIDE OF WINNIPEG

Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation advises that for approximately six weeks, the Symington overpass (PTH 1A) will be down to a single lane of traffic, in each direction, while necessary repairs are completed.  These lane restrictions will begin to be implemented this evening.

The work will see the overpass, on Fermor Avenue between Lagimodiere Boulevard and the east Perimeter Highway, restricted to one lane of traffic in each direction.

The repairs are expected to be completed, if weather is favourable, by the end of April.

All drivers are urged to slow down and use caution approaching and in construction zones, for their own safety and the safety of workers.
