Explore Manitoba or the World Through Summer Festivals: Squires

The Manitoba government encourages everyone with an interest in exploring different cultures or learning more about their own province to take advantage of the many world-class and community festivals hosted around the province this summer, Sport, Culture and Heritage Minister Rochelle Squires said today.

“Whether it’s exploring cultures from around the world at Folklorama or going back in time at the Threshermen’s Reunion, Manitoba rolls out the red carpet every summer for Manitobans and tourists alike,” said Squires.  “The Manitoba government is proud to support festivals around the province so that tourists, families and all Manitobans can celebrate and enjoy the diversity and heritage that makes our province great.”

This weekend alone offers a wide variety of entertainment options:

  • Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival in Dauphin,
  • Manitoba Threshermen’s Reunion and Stampede in Austin,
  • Icelandic Festival in Gimli,
  • Fisherton Ranch Rodeo in Fisher Branch,
  • Treaty and York Boat Days in Norway House, and
  • Folklorama.
