Province Announces New Appointments to RBC Convention Centre Board of Directors



The Manitoba government has appointed two new members to the RBC Convention Centre board of directors, Indigenous and Municipal Relations Minister Eileen Clarke announced today.

Leslie Dornan and Doug Lochhead have been appointed to the board as members.

“The RBC Convention Centre is a premier regional event centre and the board plays an important role helping manage the facility,” said Clarke.  “I welcome the two new members and thank the departing members for their service.”

Dornan is a senior partner and national director of consulting services at MNP – Winnipeg.  She has over 25 years of experience and expertise in business planning, large project leadership and management, organizational design and optimization, process improvement and strategic human resource management.

Lochhead is the founder, president and senior financial advisor at Granite Financial Group, one of Winnipeg’s leading independently owned financial planning and wealth management firms.  He has over 28 years of experience in the finance industry, with his areas of expertise including working with business owners for tax planning, succession mapping, estate preservation and portfolio management.  In his spare time, he has been involved with a variety of professional and local organizations including the Entrepreneur’s Organization and Winnipeg Harvest.

The RBC Convention Centre’s board consists of 15 members structured into three standing committees – marketing, finance and audit, and executive.  The board of directors has the responsibility to manage the property, business, and affairs of the corporation.
