PROVINCE EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR MADE-IN-MANITOBA CLIMATE AND GREEN PLAN SURVEY TO DEC. 22

The Manitoba government is providing more opportunity for Manitobans to have their say on the Made-in-Manitoba Climate and Green Plan by extending the online survey until Dec. 22, Sustainable Development Minister Rochelle Squires said today.

“Our government was proud to unveil the Made-in-Manitoba Climate and Green Plan on Oct. 27, guided at every step by the input of Manitobans,” said Squires.  “Since then, we have seen tremendous participation in the online survey with 2,000 submissions to date.  We have also received very supportive and constructive feedback through our stakeholder sessions focused on the pillars of climate, jobs, water and nature.  We are pleased to extend the online survey and provide further opportunity for Manitobans to have their say on how our province addresses the challenges of climate change.”

The online survey was initially launched when the Made-in-Manitoba Climate and Green Plan was unveiled on Oct. 27.  Participation in the survey will now be extended until Friday, Dec. 22.

Manitobans are invited to give their views on the Made-in-Manitoba plan, as well as carbon revenue recycling by investing in families, green growth and climate adaptation.  The survey remains online at www.manitobaclimategreenplan.ca.
