Province Announces Appointment to Medical Review Panel
The Manitoba government has appointed a new chair of the Medical Review Panel under The Workers Compensation Act, Growth, Enterprise and Trade Minister Blaine Pedersen announced today.
“Dr. Mallory Fast brings a significant level of experience to this position and we thank him for his ongoing service to this panel,” said Pedersen.
Fast is a licensed physician currently practicing at the Pan Am Clinic in Winnipeg. Fast previously served as alternate chair of the Medical Review Panel from 1992 to 2011 and as chair from 2012 to 2016.
Medical Review Panels are established under The Workers Compensation Act to provide impartial, independent opinions on medical matters that affect a worker’s right to compensation. Fast’s appointment is for a two-year term.
This appointment is part of the Manitoba government’s effort to continue to refresh the agencies, boards, and commissions of the province, ensuring Manitobans continue to be represented in important positions by highly qualified and enthusiastic individuals.
