Province Opens New COVID-19 Testing Site in Arborg



Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living is advising that a new COVID-19 testing site in Arborg will be opening tomorrow, Monday, Dec. 21.

The new drive-thru site, located at the MPI building at 323 Sunset Blvd. in Arborg, will be open the following hours:
•    Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and
•    Tuesday and Thursday – noon to 8 p.m.

The site is a drive-thru and does not require an appointment. It will add immediate capacity in Arborg and surrounding area in the Interlake–Eastern health region, with the ability to perform 80 tests per day.
 
Manitobans are reminded that testing is now available at select doctors’ clinics in Winnipeg. Appointments can be booked online at the Dakota Medical Centre, located at 17-845 Dakota St., as well as the Minor Illness and Injury Clinic, hosted by Red River College at 2055 Notre Dame Ave.

Manitobans can find information and make an appointment for a COVID-19 test at certain locations by calling (toll-free) 1-855-268-4318 or going online at www.manitoba.ca/COVID19.   

Only individuals experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should go for testing. Individuals with symptoms are asked to seek testing as soon as possible.
 
Employers are asked to only send employees for testing if they have symptoms or if testing has been recommended by public health officials.
