Statement from Health and Seniors Care Minister Heather Stefanson on Family Doctor Day in Manitoba
I am pleased to proclaim officially today as Family Doctor Day in Manitoba, in appreciation and acknowledgment of the tremendous dedication of family physicians across our province, particularly in these challenging times.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, family physicians have worked tirelessly to care for Manitobans, and I want to thank you for your valuable contributions and leadership.
Family physicians are a vital primary care provider for patients seeking care and advice, and providing secondary and tertiary care in our communities, working in hospitals, personal care homes and other facilities.
Manitoba’s family doctors have once again demonstrated their unwavering dedication by answering the call to help administer critical COVID-19 vaccinations to citizens across the province.
Thank you to all family physicians in Manitoba for your valuable and significant contributions, every day of the year.
