SEVERE WIND EFFECT WARNING ISSUED FOR EAST SHORES OF LAKE MANITOBA



Manitoba Infrastructure’s Hydrologic Forecast Centre advises high winds developing mid-day Friday and lasting until Saturday morning may result in severe wind effects along the east shore of Lake Manitoba. The area extends approximately between Twin Lakes Beach and Dog Lake. 

Forecast wind from the southwest will gradually shift to the west, gusting up to 85 km/h. Wave action could raise levels by as much as five feet or more. 

Property owners are advised to take precautions.
