COVID-19 Vaccine Bulletin #125



Eligibility

Third dose eligibility includes: 

  • all residents and staff of First Nation personal care homes; 
  • people who are immunocompromised; 
  • people who require a third dose for travel; or 
  • individuals who previously received doses of vaccines that are not approved by Health Canada.

Eligibility for first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine continues to include anyone born on or before Dec. 31, 2009. 

Manitoba has identified criteria for the very small number of people who cannot or should not be immunized and may be eligible for a medical exemption. More information is available at https://manitoba.ca/covid19/vaccine/eligibility-criteria.html#exemptions.

Vaccine Administration, Supply and Distribution

A total of 1,963,698 doses of vaccine have been administered in Manitoba.

Vaccine pop-up clinics are being held this week in Winnipeg at Garden City Shopping Centre, The Forks Market and Outlet Collection Winnipeg. Dates and further details are available in the province’s online vaccine finder at www.gov.mb.ca/covid19/vaccine/finder.html

Manitoba super sites are offering walk-in and appointment-based vaccinations. For hours and days of operation, visit https://www.gov.mb.ca/covid19/vaccine/finder.html. Eligible individuals can book their appointments at these sites online, or by calling (toll-free) 1-844-626-8222 (1-844-MAN-VACC). 

COVID-19 immunizations will begin to be offered to eligible young people at school-based clinics this week. These clinics will be offered during school hours and, in some cases, clinics will continue to operate outside school hours as a pop-up clinic for all members of the community. To date, 2,435,830 doses of vaccine have been delivered to Manitoba. This includes:

  • 1,534,950 doses of the Pfizer vaccine;
  • 808,920 doses of the Moderna vaccine; and 
  • 91,960 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
