Key Updates

  • The last appointments at the regional vaccine site in Dauphin are scheduled for March 2. The region will continue to offer pop-up clinics after that time to support vaccine access.

Deaths

Public health officials advise 11 new deaths in people with COVID-19 are being reported today:

  • a female in her 90s from Prairie Mountain Health (reported Thursday);
  • a male in his 70s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Thursday);
  • a female in her 90s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Thursday);
  • a male in his 80s from the Winnipeg health region and linked to an outbreak at Health Sciences Centre (reported Thursday);
  • a female in her 40s from the Prairie Mountain Health region (reported Friday);
  • a female in her 60s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Friday);
  • a female in her 70s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Friday);
  • a female in her 80s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Friday);
  • a male in his 60s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Friday);
  • a male in his 80s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Friday); and
  • a male in his 90s from the Winnipeg health region and linked to an outbreak at Tuxedo Villa (reported Friday).

Outbreaks

Outbreaks have been declared at:

  • Actionmarguerite St. Vital, Winnipeg;
  • Calvary Place, Winnipeg;
  • Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home, Ste. Rose du Lac; and
  • Westview Lodge, Boissevain.

Outbreaks have been declared over at:

  • Actionmarguerite St. Boniface, Winnipeg
  • Concordia Hospital, N3 East, Winnipeg;
  • Calvary Place, Winnipeg;
  • River Park Gardens, Winnipeg;
  • Beacon Hill Lodge, Winnipeg;
  • Meadowood Manor, Winnipeg;
  • Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre, Winnipeg; and
  • Glenboro Personal Care Home, Glenboro.

Vaccine

As of today, a total of 73,916 first doses have been given to children ages five to 11, or 59.1 per cent of that age group.
