Statement from Natural Resources and Northern Development Minister Greg Nesbitt on Provincial Hunting Day
The Manitoba government is pleased to once again proclaim Sept. 24 as Provincial Hunting Day in Manitoba.
Every year, the fourth Saturday in September is recognized as Provincial Hunting Day to highlight one of Manitoba’s most time-honoured pursuits and to celebrate the role hunting plays in wildlife management and conservation.
Provincial Hunting Day is an opportunity for Manitobans to reflect on the great hunting opportunities available across the province.
We encourage hunters to share their passions and traditions by mentoring new hunters, playing an important role in protecting the environment and managing the province’s game species.
Wishing all hunters a safe and happy Provincial Hunting Day.
