The second session of the 41st Manitoba legislature is expected to open shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, with the reading of the speech from the throne by Lt.-Gov. Janice C. Filmon.

The lieutenant-governor will leave Government House at 1 p.m.  To mark the departure, the 26th Field Regiment from Brandon under the direction of Lt. Upon arrival at the front stairs of the Legislative Building, the lieutenant-governor will inspect a 50-person guard of honour made up of members of the Royal Canadian Air Force from 17 Wing Winnipeg, led by Capt. Bernardt Van Zyl.

The Royal Canadian Air Force Band, led by Capt. Matthew Clark, will be on parade to provide the musical pageantry for the ceremony.

Following the inspection and the playing of the viceregal salute, the official party will continue up the Grand Staircase to the ceremonial Blue Room.  She will enter the legislative chamber to deliver the speech at about 1:30 p.m.
