Premier Releases Updated Mandate Letters For All Cabinet Ministers

Clear Vision, Clear Targets, Real Progress: Pallister

All Manitoba government cabinet ministers have received their updated mandate letters and will be working toward completing the tasks in each of their specific areas, Premier Brian Pallister announced today.

“Cabinet ministers are responsible for leading their departments through the day-to-day challenges while also ensuring we as a government achieve the goals we have set out,” Pallister said.  “We have made real progress on the mandates we issued after Manitobans elected us to govern in 2016, but there is more work to do.”

Mandate letters have been updated following the August 2018 change in cabinet responsibilities.  Each letter spells out a vision for the department and renews the commitment of government to continue building safer, greener, more prosperous communities while transforming the public service and building a better, more affordable government for Manitobans.

“Every minister has been given the same challenge – to help make Manitoba the most improved province for job creation, delivering quality service, public finances and for partnerships with business and industry,” the premier said.
