Province Appoints New Member to Manitoba Human Rights Commission

Manitoba Justice has appointed a new member to the Manitoba Human Rights Commission (MHRC).

Darcy Strutinsky has been appointed for a three-year term.

Strutinsky provides independent human resource and labour relations consulting services to employers in the public and private sectors.  He previously served as director of what is now the Provincial Health Labour Relations Services and is a member of the Manitoba Labour Board, the Labour Management Review Committee and a founding trustee of the Healthcare Employees Pension Plan.

The MHRC is composed of eight commissioners and administers The Human Rights Code, ensuring Manitobans receive fair treatment in all matters based solely on personal merit and free from discrimination.

Manitoba Justice thanked outgoing member Diane Dwarka for her service on the commission.
