Standing Hearing Postponed
The standing hearing to determine who can participate in the upcoming inquest into the death of Chad Williams is being postponed. This is being done as part of the judiciary’s broader decision to postpone many matters in light of COVID-19 public health concerns.
Individuals and organizations that had requested to be part of the standing hearing will be advised by inquest counsel as soon as a new date is set. Further questions can be directed to Jeannelle Allard, inquest counsel, at 204-726-6013 or jeannelle.allard@gov.mb.ca.
The standing hearing was initially scheduled to take place on April 6.
