Statement from Indigenous and Northern Relations Minister Eileen Clarke on Indigenous Nursing Day
Indigenous Nurses Day celebrates the hard work and dedication of our First Nations, Métis and Inuit care providers across Manitoba. Indigenous nurses in Canada not only serve our communities but also improve on the health-care system, and the health and wellness of Indigenous peoples.
I want to thank all Indigenous nurses across our province for the invaluable care and leadership they provide to their communities. Your contributions to the health and safety of all Manitobans, as well as your work on the front lines of this pandemic, are admired and appreciated by myself, our government and people across Manitoba.
To all Indigenous nurses, know that today and every day, we celebrate your dedication, achievements and your commitment to caring for others.
