Manitoba Government Launches Campaign to Recruit Health Professionals from the United States

The Manitoba government launched a bold new marketing campaign to attract and recruit health-care workers from several American states, Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care Minister Uzoma Asagwara announced today.

“Manitoba offers a health-care system that puts patients first, with no insurance battles and no profit-driven mandates – just real medicine in a system that values both caregivers and patients,” said Asagwara. “It is crucial for those who may be considering Manitoba as their place of practice to know that we are committed to providing evidence-based health care, whether it’s women’s health, gender-affirming care or public health leadership.”

This campaign emphasizes Manitoba’s inclusive health-care environment, the benefits that come from working in a public system and the opportunity to live in an affordable province with vibrant communities, noted the minister.

The campaign launched this week in Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. It reflects Manitoba’s strengths and priorities including safe and inclusive communities that welcome diversity, equity and inclusion, good schools, strong social supports and comparable affordability with a high quality of life, said Asagwara.

The minister encouraged Manitobans to share the campaign with their American family members in health care. More resources and details about upcoming recruitment webinars are available at www.PracticeinManitoba.ca.
